Elianto Review

All of the Elianto products that I've ordered online had finally reached. It actually took quite long, for like almost a week and more. I just can't wait to try them on.

Nail polishes

Elianto nail polish is the only brand of nail polish that I've used. They have wide range of colors from bright neon to pastel to shiny and are still producing new colors. They also have this interesting crackle nail color which shows some cracking effect after drying.

At the bottom of the bottle it says that they are made in Korea

What do I think: 
These nail polishes dried up pretty fast, in about 1 or 2 minutes after application. But I found that the darker colors take longer time to dry as compared to the lighter colors.
The texture are not too thick nor liquid-ish. It's just right.
One coat is definitely enough to show the true color, but I think two coat is more fuller and more covered.
Note: Some of my friend told me that they are actually allergic to this nail polish. So becareful and maybe use their tester before buying

Satin Ultimate Rouge Lipsticks

Product claims:

Elianto Satin Ultimate Rouge Lipstick gives you instant, intense colour that melts into your lips for a moist, satin-like finish. Enjoy a burst of rich colour that lasts, yet remains comfortable and fresh even after hours of wear, thanks to an exclusive blend of pure pigments and luminous shine-enhancing oils.

M11 is a really nice sexy red color which I really like

M03 is a bright barbie pink color which in my opinion is more suitable for cool skin tone 

As you can see here, the color is buildable :)

What do I think:

I would say that these lipsticks are more creme than matte but not shiny. 

The color is super rich and buildable. First application is enough to show the true color. 

It's very moisturizing.
Has very nice vanilla smell

Staying power is quite okay. The color is still there even after 5 hours.

TIPS: To increase the staying power, I usually apply the lipstick and kiss off the extra on a tissue and the color would just stay on my lips for the whole day !

It does stain on cups if I did not remove the extra.

Celestial 2 in 1 Eyeliner Pencil

Product claims:
Is a 2 in 1 functional eyeliner & eyshadow pencil providing a smooth colour pay-off, excellent coverage and an extremely high-shine pearlescent effect. Due to 50 % moisturizing and hydrating ingredients, including vitamin E and jojoba oil, the formula feels very soft on application.

Royal gold and snow white

What do I think:

It really is smooth and soft on application. 

It can be smudged easily and after a while it would set and just stay there.

Surprisingly it is waterproof.

Very pigmented.

Unfortunately it wasn't a twist pencil, so you would need to use a pencil sharpener.

Absolutely Resistance Eyeliner Pencil 02 dark brown

Product claims:
A special double - polymer system and a high content of volatile silicones make this eyeliner very pleasant to apply and super long-wearing. The result is a waterproof eyeliner with extraordinary softness, rich colour pay-off and excellent coverage without smudging. Contains vitamin C & E.

What do I think:

Just a normal dark brown waterproof eyeliner.
It can be smudged before it dries up
Waterproof
I'm very impressed with the staying power, used it for a event and stayed the same from morning till night.

Eye shadows

The eye shadows that I bought are splendour-plum purple, ardour-venus brown and lustre-light salmon
Both splendour and ardour shadow are matte. Lustre shadow has shiny particle in it.

                                      

What do I think:
They are very pigmented.
Applies on easily and can be blended smoothly
Splendour and ardour shadow are more to powdery texture
Lustre shadow has more creamy texture with flowery smell.

Princezna Mascara

Product claims:
Elianto Princezna Mascara gives even sparse, fine lashes volume and length thanks to its unique Twist Brush for maximum coverage on each and every lash. Plus, it’s enriched with vitamin E and protein-rich keratin for healthier lashes.

What do I think:
Does not curl the lashes well therefore would need to use a lash curler beforehand.
But hold the curls and lashes in place well
Lengthens the lashes
Clumps a little bit at the end of lashes
I'm very impressed with the staying power. After drying does not smudge at all
Easy to remove with just water and cotton pad. It slides off the lashes and does not cause any black panda eye look

Right and wrong

I'm feeling so random tonight. So wrong yet so right, so lost yet so clear. It's mix. Since young I learn to follow the rules, the way everything should be. I've always been this girl who follows all the rules and instructions. My parents was not harsh, they gave us all the freedom we want, I had very much fun and freedom as a child. But being the oldest daughter in my family had formed me into a very discipline and mature person. I know my responsibility. I know very clearly what not to do and what I must do. Yet deep within me there is this very wild little girl begging to come out of this shell that had lock her in deep inside. Every once and then, this wild little girl comes out of the shell and that's when I become very rebellious. But the sane part of me quickly took control and locked her back in.

There have always been wars within me. The right and the wrong. The reality reminds me of what I need to do. Study hard and score high. Do all my homework and revisions. Don't disappoint my parents because I love them so much. Respect the old and be patient with the young. Don't forget to say thank you and don't be ashamed to say sorry. Don't play under the rain. Follow the right path be perfect. These are the choices I made. I don't regret them.

But what is right and what is wrong ?

I want freedom. I want to let the wild part of me out. I want to break free. I want to leave. I don't want to score high for my test. I want to skip schools. I want to break loose. I want to get into fights. I want to travel. I want to leave. I want to leave this shell. I want to sleep under the big broad sky. I've always love the night sky. With all the stars above me. I've always wanted to play under the rain. Let it flow all over me. Feeling every drop on my face. I want to run. I want to forget everything and just leave.

The best feeling I had was when I was a child, on the field in my school. I was an athlete. I was a runner. That day was windy. I was running. That feeling when the air was flowing through my fingers. I still remember that feeling. I missed it so dearly. The feeling of freedom.

That little girl is begging real hard for freedom. Yet that little girl is the same girl who lock herself in. Pathetic. Growing up is very pathetic and saddening. Growing up is when you become mature. When the children become adults. Please excuse that little girl tonight for coming out and saying very immature things, for asking for freedom.

Suiskin Plum Lip Moisturizer

I don't need to use lip balm at all despite the alternating hot and wet weather in Malaysia. However, since last year my lips suddenly feels dry and itchy. Then there was an obvious rash on my top lips. It was hideous and not to mention very itchy and painful. I'm not sure what was the cause but I knew that I need to do something before it spread all over my lips.  So I started searching for lip balms. At first I bought this Mentholatum natural treatment lipbalm. But it was not helping and just feel buttery on my lips. Then later I head to the pharmacy near my house and the pharmacist introduced me the Suiskin plum lip moisturizer. IT WAS GOOD, REALLY GOOD :)

I don't remember the price. I think it's around RM18.

Don't mind the old looking tube. 

This 18ml tube has been with me for almost a year now !! and it is still half full.

What do I think :

This moisturizer is colorless. 

It gives a mild hint of shine and doesn't feel buttery at all. 

What I like the most is the minty plum smell !! OMG it feels super refreshing on my lips.

It doesn't feel heavy on lips which is what I hate about lip balms.

However, I found that it does slip off my lips abit if I applied too much.

While my lips were super moisturized, the rash did got better a little bit but did not cure it completely. But after a few months, it was gone. I guess it was due to the stress (study and stuff) and hot weather. But overall it lead me to this super nice lip moisturizer :D 

Best Homemade Mask Remedy

I learnt this remedy from Bubzbeauty, a very nice and inspiring youtube beauty guru. I really like her videos and have been following her for a long time. She shares DIY natural mask and has tons of makeup and beauty tutorials.

This homemade mask is the BEST that I've tried. I've been using this for almost two years and I'm still surprise how soft my skin can be each time after using this. There are only four main ingredients and all of them are natural. Here is the link! 

Apple cider vinegar is well known for its wide variety of health benefits. It gently dissolve dead skin and break up scar tissue. Make sure you buy the unfiltered natural apple cider vinegar which should contain some residue at the bottom. The residues are known as the 'mother', proteins and enzymes which gives all the health benefits !

You can get this from any supermarket or organic store. This cost only RM15.90.

The sugar act as a scrub to exfoliate dead skin and break up scar tissue. I find that it is normal if your skin is a little red due to the scrubbing (don't scrub too hard ! )

Honey helps to moisturize the skin and reduce redness of acne and pimples. It also stimulate skin cell renewal and has anti-aging benefits. Green tea detoxify the skin :)

Ingredients
2 tsp Green tea
1 tsp Apple cider vinegar (not white vinegar !!)
7 tsp Sugar (use caster sugar because it is finer than granulated sugar)
1 tsp Honey

Basically it's 2:1 part of green tea to apple cider vinegar. Mix all the ingredients and keep the extra in fridge. Sometimes when I ran out of green tea I use clean filtered water :)

Start with a clean washed face and keep your hair out of the way. Apply on face and be careful not to drop any on your table or floor because this attracts ants like crazy. Massage gently in circular motion. The sugar scrub really gently and is not harsh at all. If it gets dry or sticky, pat more of the liquid onto face. Leave it on face for around 10 minutes then rinse it off.

For first time user it is recommended that you do a test first before putting on face because the vinegar can be too harsh. If your skin is more sensitive, dilute the mask with more green tea.

I actually use 1:1 ratio because my skin can handle it. After the first time using, my skin feel super SUPER soft, smooth and it's not drying at all. I usually do this twice a week at night. The smell was not so pleasant but tolerable. After using it for so long, it actually smell sweet to me now :D

Exploring Makeups

I was never a make up person eventhough I'm already 20 this year. I started using makeup when I was 16 years old if I'm not wrong for my high school prom night. I still remember for that night, I applied dark brown pencil eyeliner and smudged it to create a slight smoky effect. Then, put on mascara and hazel colored eye lens. After that night, all I ever used was eyeliner.

But recently, my friend told me that Elianto was having sales on their e-store. Elianto is a Malaysia company which is actually quite known among us Malaysians. I've always used their nail polish so when my friend told me that they are selling them for RM1 per bottle with purchase of any nail polish remover, I did not hesitate and go straight to their website.

I found out that not only their nail polish was on sale but lipsticks too ! So I thought, hey why not try them ? I did some research online on their lipstick and they received good reviews. So I proceed to buy 2 different shades of them :D

After all the researches and reviews I read online and on youtube, it got me interested in make up. I ended up buying more make ups including eye shadows, eye liners, lipsticks and a total of 14 nail polish !

Not a lucky month

Recently, everything feels out of place. It's not anything serious but things just don't go smoothly as expected.  I've always been a procrastinator but no matter how much I procrastinate, I will still be able to finish my job on time and the result will still somehow be satisfying. It's like there is this fairy god parents helping me out :P or I'm just good haha .But not this time, I guess I have taken it for granted and thinking everything will still be fine.

I remember how I used to be able to finish doing my revision and understanding the whole chapter in one night. I would not let myself into the exam hall unless I've done all my revisions and be fully prepared. No matter how much I game and slack, it would still not be a problem.

BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO ME NOW ?! :(  I know I deserved this because I'm forcing myself to learn the whole subject which was suppose to take one semester (three months) in one night instead. I literally study the whole subject one night just before the exam because during this whole semester I hardly went to any class or tutorial. *Well if you're an engineering student you would know it's useless to go to classes, at least it's true in my uni, the classes are boring and some lecturers are just reading slides*. What disappointed me is the paper was actually easy and I can easily score it if only I had done my revision properly. This is something I regret as I risk failing the paper now. Well, what is done is done I shall take this as lesson. SAAAAADDDD

Colours

I have this feeling of dying my hair again. Yep, final exams tomorrow and here I am dreaming about other stuffs :P I cut my hair short last month and I'm really loving how soft and strong it feels now. I had been dying my hair over and over again 2 years ago up until last month. So my hair was really dry and damaged and tangly . And what makes it worse is my hair is naturally curled and wavy. So I wake up every morning looking like I'm wearing a broom wig :'D But I got bored with my hair now (again).

 

Note: This is my natural hair form. I did not curl or put any product on it.

This was early of the year during my semester break in the March. I did bleach my hair for this. Somehow the colours came off really quickly and became yellowish red. In this picture, I used the Schwarzkopf Igora Royal Fashion Lights. I wasn't suppose to bleach my hair beforehand for this dye. The Igora fashion lights was specially made to lighten dark colour hair for a few shades but I didn't know that. However, I used this on my sister's hair which was non-bleached and the effect was still bright and surprisingly it stays longer. 

No time for sleep !

SUPER HECTIC MONTH OMGGGGG. Project, assignments and final exam all coming at me. Finally finished my project for the first semester of year two :D Was supposed to have at least a month to finish it but due to the laziness and procrastinating, I had to sacrifice the final five days sleeps to finish it.  With my partner who was responsible for the hardware and me in charged of the coding ^_^ Was really stressed out but it finally worked ! However we handed it in late for a day. Well, at least it worked and I realized some of the other student handed an incomplete work. So basically I'm pretty satisfied with my work ;) ;)

And now I'm gonna focus on my final exam, a very last minute revision again *sigh. So yeaaah the stress is not over yet :( Due to all this stress and sleepless night, my neck is starting to hurt. It feels as though my nerves are being pulled, not sure if I hurt the bone :(

Mini Oreo Cheesecake

So recently I've tried bake this Mini Oreo Cheese cake :D :D :D What I like about this recipe is it was steam-baked so the cake turn out to be really soft and at the same time creamy.

Ingredients 
12      Oreo biscuit
4        Eggs (medium size)
250g  Cream cheese
40g    Condense milk
10g    Granulated sugar
1tsp    Lemon juice
*make sure that everything is in room temperature for best result

Instructions

1.  Half the oreo and crush the other half with oreo fillings. 
2. Prepare the cupcake lining by putting a tablespoon of cookie crumbs into each lining. Press the crumbs evenly and firmly onto the bottom of the cupcake lining using a spoon or anything with flat surface.
   *Butter is not needed as the oreo fillings serve the same function.
3. Separate the egg yolk from egg white. 
4. Beat the egg white until foamy. Then gradually add in the sugar and continue beating until it forms soft peaks.
5. In another bowl, mix the egg yolk, cream cheese, condense milk and lemon juice until well combined.
6. Carefully fold in the egg yolk mixture in to the egg white.
7. Scoop the the mixture in to each cupcake lining until 3/4 full 
8. Crush the left over oreo and sprinkle on top of mixture
9. Steam-bake in 160 degree celcius for 20 to 25 minutes (bake by putting the cupcake tray on a tray with water) 
10. Chill in fridge for at least an hour before serving

Some Introduction ;)

I have a lot of things to share but I just don't know where to start. The blog look so clean and empty. So I guess I should at least do an introduction first. Firstly, I'm from Malaysia currently doing engineering degree, second year to be precise and hence the title of the blog. It's not to be showing off or anything but I just don't have any idea for the title so yeaaah =P . Well it's true anyway, at least people would know how engineering students live their daily life. And if you could keep following (thanks if you do !) you would know we don't sit around in front of our computer or facing books everyday (at least not me haha). To be honest, it's not really that hectic or terrible as it seems. So far, the uni life is quite enjoyable despite the facts that I got bored sometimes. This is because there are so few female students (duhh as expected). It would be so much fun if there were more girls I can hang out with. I do get along well with the guys but it's just different ! The homework and assignments are still hand-able. To wrap it up, studying engineering can be a fun thing if we manage our time well ( and maybe sacrifice some sleep =/ ).

Hello world ! or whoever is reading this right now :D I'm so excited to be starting this new blog today. To be honest I've no idea how this would turn out to be but everything has a beginning and let's make this a good beginning :) Guess I can call this as a new chapter of my life so allow me to share this song I'm addicted to recently - New Chapter by Geraldine (颜慧萍) from Malaysia. Featured in the movie The Journey (一路有你 ) a very touching and meaningful movie which leaves me feeling proud as a Malaysian  :)
